BARF BAGS AT THE READY?

Hey all , i just wanted to bring to everyones attention an incredible, original and quite disturbing image kindly created by Samuel Paul in honour/tribute to me.
I think I would be hard pressed to come up with any other occasion on which I've felt both so honored and grossed by the same act!

I thank Sam for this wonderful accolade and I would really love for you guys to go look, linger and possibly add/like this image (oh and if you happen to feel up to it a comment or two would be most appreciated , thanks).

But please please be forewarned people it AIN"T a pretty sight ..... NOT pretty at all!!

Hey, Gurch, are you on Instagram or Facebook? I would love to follow you if you are. Always love your art!

Hey hi there buddy, I hope all goes well for you , it’s lovely to hear from you , thanks for taking the time to message and for the loving of my art , it honestly is very flattering to hear that. I have been very busy the past few years and had little time to post any new work up. I do find I shy away from social media much to my detriment, I have no Facebook nor Instagram account. (I sometimes get asked for interviews but I have always turned them down too ), BUT this year I decided I would change all that. HOWEVER as soon as the year starts I get bombarded with lots of work , six months worth at least. There’s never enough hours in the day , but fingers crossed I will start later. I plan I would pop a piece or two up on Deviant art and now you have given me some stimulus to continue to do so. Thank for the support, I appreciate it a lot 👍🏼

No worries! It's great you are busy!

With your permission I take the opportunity to present myself and make a proposal: I´m Xurxo Avila, a spanish actor, director, writer and producer. I have a horror script that I have not been able to shoot and I was thinking of turning it into a graphic novel for IMAGE COMICS -WE ALL WORK FOR MONEY- with the collaboration of one of my best friends, the USA`s editor and colorist JOSÉ VILLARRUBIA. I have seen your drawings and would you like to draw the story? I really like your style very much, I think it would go very well to the story and I think we could create a unique and fascinating horror story. I hope I didn't bother you with the proposal. The idea is to draw 12 scenes from the script (he told me that it is the usual number when you send it to any American comic book publisher), send them along with the same script and a lot of things that I have more (you can see some of them on my page, in the folder entitled: "CINEMA" : art concepts, posters,...) to the publisher and see if they like it and get us to work. If you want I pass the script to you, you read it, and you tell me. Greetings.

Hi there, many many thanks for reaching out and for liking my art for your project , I really appreciate it. I took a look at the cinema section and there is some amazing lovely art in there.

However to be brutally honest I am really really behind with my work this year and need to catch up with a couple of projects before I am able to consider any other work. This could be about 6 months time.

I am sorry that I didn’t have an affirmative reply to your offer but I hope you can understand my answer , it horrible when you try to produce work and are over burdened and not able to create to the best of your ability.

I wish you all the best with your project and hopefully in the future it may work out for us.

Big thanks and stay creative

The Gurch

Thank you very much for those kind words. I understand it perfectly, I hope that everything goes well and in the future I can work together. A big hug.

I really appreciate the watch and I look forward to seeing more of your world-class horror art soon!
